January 30th, 2004 New General Manager for Octapharma UK Octapharma is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Sue Collins as General Manager of UK and Ireland. Having joined Octapharma UK in 2001, Ms Collins has previously held positions within the company as National Sales Manager and Director of the Emergency Medicine portfolio. Ms Collins has taken up the role at a time of major challenge and change in the important UK marketplace. Public concerns surrounding vCJD, intense price pressures and ongoing NHS changes combine to increase the importance of focused leadership and clear strategic planning to ensure success. Her first task has been to consolidate and strengthen the sales and marketing organisation realigning the structure to support the needs of the business in 2004. “I’m very excited by the challenges ahead and am fortunate to be able to draw on the strengths of my team here in the UK as well as the support and experience of international peers” said Sue. “My priorities are now to ensure that we have a successful launch year for our coagulation products and to consolidate and grow immunoglobulin business both with Octagam and Gammanorm. There are some real opportunities for Octaplas and the UK organisation is set to ensure that we capitalise on them. 2004 is set to be a very busy year here in the UK,” Sue concluded.
