New Plant Manager for Octapharma Vienna
Octapharma announced last week that Dr Bernhard Kerner would take up the position of Plant Manager for the state-of-the-art
Vienna manufacturing facility. This appointment will take effect immediately.
Dr Kerner has worked in the fractionation industry for 26 years and is widely acknowledged as one of the leading specialists in his field. He has been with Octapharma since it was founded in 1990. During this time he has overseen many of the developments, upgrades and expansion programmes that have been implemented in Vienna. Additionally, Dr Kerner has been involved with the logistics and implementation of several of Octapharma´s highly successful self-sufficiency agreements.
In accepting this position, Dr Kerner will assume most of the responsibilities and workload in Vienna
previously undertaken by Dr Nicholas Jacobson, Chief Operating Officer of the Octapharma Group. Dr Jacobson will now be able to turn his focus to the other plants, namely those in Lingolsheim,
France; Stockholm, Sweden and Mexico City.
