Octapharma USA expands
Following the highly successful US launch of Octagam in May this year, Octapharma USA is expanding its activities, head count and office space!
New North American headquarters were officially inaugurated last week during the visit of company Chairman Mr Wolfgang Marguerre and Chief Financial Officer Mr Karl Erik Clausen. The ultra modern, lakeside premises, occupying over 5,000 square feet in Northern Virginia will house Management, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, Medical and Clinical departments as well as providing extensive meeting facilities.
In addition to acquiring new premises, Octapharma USA has been actively recruiting. The most recent addition to the team is Mary Claire Lynn. Ms Lynn has been appointed as Clinical Research Director and will head up a team that will conduct clinical studies for both regulatory and marketing purposes.

Elsewhere, as a reflection of early sales success and in anticipation of the expanding product portfolio, the US sales force is being doubled in size. "This will provide us with greater geographical coverage and enable our Territory Business Managers to provide an even higher level of professional customer service" explained Pat Arzillo.

The move to the new premises and the associated state-of-the-art I.T. and communications logistics was masterminded by Finance and Operations Director Mr Flemming Nielsen who has recently relocated from Octapharma's corporate headquarters in Switzerland to Virginia.
