Octapharma Sponsors Fun in the Sun!
Once upon a time
there was a beautiful day-
A day with no worries,
where kids went to play,
There was a BBQ, carnival games,
and activities galore
And let me rell you, since you missed it
this party was no snore.
Beacause once upon a time actually arrived
It was A Day to Play on 21st May,2005
Octapharma was proud to be a major sponsor of the recent Northern California and Nevada Kids Day event organized by Stanford Hospital, and the Primary Immune Network (PIN) - part of the Jeffrey Modell Foundation (JMF).
Held on the beautiful Dean's Lawn, part of the Stanford Medical campus, the event attracted around 60 children with Primary Immune Deficiency diseases (PID).
In addition to carnival games, face painting, cookie decorating and many other activities, "A Day to Play" offered parents the opportunity to meet health care providers as well as other children with PID and their families in a fun and informal setting.

PIN is a newly formed group for families with Primary Immune Deficiency. It was founded by David Lewis MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Immunology and Director of the Jeffrey Modell Primary Immunodeficiency Center at Stanford.
"The success of the recent KID's day event was partly attributable to the provision of a generous grant from Octapharma. On behalf of all the families I would like to thank Lisa Sheaffer and her colleagues at Octapharma USA for their enthusistic support and participation" said Sherri Stein, one of the Day To Play organizers.
The Company also provided backpacks for the children.
Octapharma's participation in the CA Kid's Day event is just one of the ways in which we support the Jeffrey Modell Foundation.
