Octapharma hosts 7th Plasma Quality Program
Delegates and faculty from 11 Middle Eastern and North African countries gathered recently in Beirut, Lebanon for the 7th Plasma Quality Program (PQP).
In recent years, this event has become regarded as the primary regional congress for physicians and pharmacists who work with plasma products.
During 2 intensive days of study, delegates hear presentations on all aspects of plasma product therapy including: plasma fractionation, virus inactivation techniques, risks of plasma product therapy, regulation and registration of blood products, hemophilia and immune-mediated disorders and their management.
Each session is followed by an interactive discussion that enables all participants to share their experience, voice questions, debate current best practice and develop strategies and guidelines that can be taken back to their day-to-day practice.
The high educational value of PQP has been recognized by the Saudi Council of Health Specialty who have accredited it with 13 CME hours.
Equally gratifying for Octapharma is the fact that many of the distinguished faculty / speakers at this meeting had previously attended a PQP as delgates.
