Octapharma supports Halloween Fun in New York
On October 29th the Big Apple was transformed into the Big Pumpkin for a few happy hours during the 2006 New York JMF KID's Day. Thanks to the hard work of Fred and Vicki Modell and the staff of the Jeffrey Modell Foundation (JMF) the event brought joy, hope and support to New York children and families living with Primary Immune Deficiency Disease.
Both kids and adults had a fabulous time whether bowling, feasting on snacks and desserts, getting their faces painted, dancing or just making new friends.
Dr Charlotte Cunningham-Rundles - Professor of Medicine and Clinical Immunology and staff were there from Mount Sinai Hospital to support the event.

From dragons, to ghosts and ghouls the Halloween costumes on young and old added to the festivities and fun of the day. Every one who attended received a t-shirt and goodie bag courtesy of vendors including Octapharma.
Octapharma is a long time supporter of JMF and is especially proud to be a corporate sponsor of the KID's Day events. This year JMF will hold a record number of KID's Days - 16 in total, including one in Shanghai China.
Octapharma was represented at the New York event by NY Territory Business Manager, Michelle Dolan-Blair. "Days such as this, highlight the importance of families with kids suffering from PID to get together and share their stories and offer support. This event brought so much joy and happiness to kids that they are already looking forward to next year" Michelle reflected after the fun was over.

The Jeffrey Modell Foundation was established by Fred and Vicki Modell in memory of their son Jeffrey, who died at the age of 15 of a Primary Immunodeficiency. The Foundation is dedicated to early and precise diagnosis, meaningful treatments, and ultimately cures of Primary Immunodeficiencies.
From the hardship of their own experience, Jeffrey's family learned the enormous medical, emotional and financial difficulties associated with Primary Immunodeficiency. KID's Days are just one of the many ways they have found to help other families from suffering the same isolation and fate.
