Octapharma at ISTH Congress, Geneva, July 6-12th

The XXIst Congress of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis and the 53rd Annual Meeting of its Scientific and Standardization Committee is soon taking place in Geneva and more then 7000 participants are expected to attend. The first ISTH congress in 1970 was also held in Switzerland.

Octapharma will participate at the ISTH congress with a 200-sqm booth (N° 1111), presenting our whole Haemophilia product portfolio, i.e. Wilate®, Octanate®, Octanine F®, Nanotiv® and Octaplex®.
In total, we have 14 Posters to display in the official poster area. In addition, 10 of these will be shown at our booth  through-out the congress. Please view poster information here.

During the congress Octapharma will host two Satellite Symposiums. You can find information here below:

The first Satellite Symposium with the title “The role of VWF in preventing and treating FVIII-inhibitors – when science meets clinical experience” will address the underlying science of the role of VWF in FVIII-inhibitor immunology, shed some light on practical applications of pre-ITI in vitro comparison of FVIII-concentrates and present information on the design of prospective clinical studies tackling the question of the role of the FVIII-concentrate type on ITI success and inhibitor development. Most recent retrospective clinical experiences using different classes of FVIII-concentrates for ITI-treatment will be compared and presented as well as new findings from prospective GCP-studies on the incidence of inhibitors in PUPs.
