Octapharma and the A-T Cure Tour

Octapharma is the proud title sponsor of the A-T Cure Tour, an event that will see one man, Tim Borland, run 63 marathons in 63 days to increase awareness, raise money and help find a cure for Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T).

All of the money raised will go directly to the A-T Children’s Project - a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support and coordinate biomedical research projects, scientific workshops, and a multidisciplinary, international A-T clinical center at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland dedicated to finding a cure or life-improving therapies for A-T.

The A-T Cure Tour started at Disneyland in Anaheim, California on September 3rd, and will culminate at the finish line of the New York City marathon on November 4th. Between now and then, Tim will run a full marathon distance (26.2 miles / 42.195 km) every day while pushing a stroller. Some days, the stroller will carry a child with A-T and sometimes, in memory of a child who has passed away, it will remain empty. His journey will take him across 30 states and even includes a brief stop in Canada.

Award winning independent film makers, Deb and Brad Carr will follow Tim every step of the way and will be producing a feature documentary entiled FEAT.
They are also recording a daily video blog with highlights of each stop on the Cure Tour. These short videos can be viewed here
