March 14th, 2008 Press Release - Judith Smith has joined Plasma Procurement Services, Inc., Octapharma USA Octapharma AG is pleased to announce that Judith Smith has joined Plasma Procurement Services, Inc., Octapharma's U.S. subsidiary responsible for source plasma collections in the United States. As her first assignment, Ms. Smith has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. subsidiaries of Life Therapeutics Limited pursuant to Octapharma's appointment to manage these subsidiaries, which currently operate 12 plasma centers in the United States. Prior to joining Octapharma, Ms. Smith was Vice President of Plasma Operations at ZLB Plasma in Boca Raton, Florida, where Ms. Smith was responsible for the operation of 65 plasma centers. Ms. Smith has led organizations through extensive change throughout her career and has been successful in increasing the production of plasma centers, decreasing operational costs, and improving regulatory compliance. Ms. Smith holds an MBA from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois and a BS from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois.
