Production
Octapharma operates according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the European Union and the USA and invests continuously to keep production processes and technologies as well as facilities at a state-of-the-art standard in a rapidly advancing industry.
Octapharma produces its products in three modern, state-of-the-art facilities, in Vienna, Austria, in Lingolsheim, France and in Stockholm, Sweden. We also have a fine fractionation plant in Mexico. In addition, Octapharma operates the plasma fractionation plant of DRK PVG in Springe, Germany, the blood-fractionation company owned by NSTOB and other German Red Cross Blood Transfusion Services.
Many technologies and methodologies have been developed by Octapharma specialists. The highly specialised products require highest standards and strictest procedures in each and every step of production. Personnel are trained and devoted.
In order to meet the increasing demand for Octapharma products, a key focus of the company is to extend production capacities in all its facilities. Today the group has an overall production capacity to process 2,600.000 litres plasma annually. Included in this figure is the capacity to produce 110.000 litres SD-treated Plasma.
