Some decisions are easier than others. Just ask Alma Torokoff.

After Alma graduated in biomedicine from Edinburgh University in Scotland – where her family had moved when she was eleven years old – she was eager to see what it was like in Stockholm. Octapharma was already on her job wish list.

For Alma, a job at Octapharma has become an attractive reality: Lake Mälaren is just around the corner, the office is located only a few minutes away from her home, and the job is fun and challenging. As a Process Technician in the Biopharmaceuticals Department (BIO), Alma is primarily responsible for the purification of cells – an important component in the manufacture of medicines for haemophilia. Her duties also include sampling and analysis, process monitoring and documentation.

In her spare time she explores Stockholm by playing Pokémon go – which Alma thinks is a clever way to get to know the city, to discover new streets and squares.
